Brooke and Jake met in 2024 and instantly connected over our shared passion for gardening, baking, and a borderline obsession with houseplants! With that, Roots and Crumbs was born — a dream project rooted in everything we love.

We believe in sourcing local food grown with care. That’s why we prioritize local and sustainable practices, using only glyphosate-free, unsprayed wheat berries and ingredients we trust. And then hand milled with love in house by Roots and Crumbs. And in addition many spices and herbs, are grown in Roots and Crumbs organic garden fed by wiggly worms! Brooke has been baking her whole life alongside her grandmother and has a deep love for sourdough breadmaking, which shines through in every loaf.

In addition to sourdough and plants, we’re excited to offer freeze-dried fruit snacks — from strawberries to blueberries — all grown right here in New Jersey or picked from trusted local farms.

With a shared love of health, good food, and all things green, the Roots and Crumbs family is so excited to spread the joy of baking and plants with you
